Vietnam’s EV maker expands into Middle East with new Dubai dealership, showcasing VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has officially entered the Middle Eastern market, hosting a launch event on Dubai’s Bluewaters Island. The event introduced VinFast’s range of electric vehicles to the region, highlighting its commitment to providing sustainable transportation in partnership with local markets. This Middle Eastern expansion reflects VinFast’s growing international footprint, which includes regions such as North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
In conjunction with the brand’s launch, VinFast opened its first UAE dealership in Dubai’s downtown area, in partnership with Al Tayer Motors. Spanning over 1,000 square meters, the new dealership includes a showroom and an integrated service workshop where customers can experience VinFast’s electric lineup, featuring the VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, and VF 9. The VF 8, a key model, will start at approximately $47,500 for the Eco trim, while the Plus trim is expected to start at $51,500 when it reaches Middle Eastern buyers.
VinFast’s regional expansion includes plans to open additional dealerships later this year in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain. Additionally, VinFast has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Charge&Go, a local infrastructure provider, to develop a public charging network across the UAE. This partnership aims to support the rising demand for electric vehicles by making charging stations more accessible throughout the country.
Speaking at the launch, VinFast Middle East CEO Ta Xuan Hien expressed enthusiasm about the brand’s new venture: “Our debut in the Middle East marks a major milestone for VinFast as we work to make electric vehicles accessible worldwide. Collaborating with key partners in the Gulf region, we look forward to delivering smart and reliable EVs, supporting the shift toward clean mobility in the Middle East.”
VinFast’s Middle Eastern venture is supported by exclusive partnerships with top automotive dealers across the region, including Al Tayer Motors in the UAE, Al Mana Holdings in Qatar, and Bahwan Automobiles & Trading in Oman.
