Key design and features for a modern electric SUV

The e VITARA, derived from the concept “eVX” showcased in early 2023, emphasizes Suzuki’s “Emotional Versatile Cruiser” theme. The vehicle boasts a design intended to merge a modern electric look with the familiar strength of an SUV. Large wheels, a long wheelbase, and a rugged interior layout create an “Adventure” feel that resonates with SUV enthusiasts, while its digital dashboard and integrated display highlight the vehicle’s modern touch.

Efficient powertrain with electric 4WD system

A central feature of the e VITARA is its efficient BEV powertrain, which includes an eAxle integrating both the motor and inverter. Powered by lithium iron-phosphate batteries, the e VITARA is built for both smooth start-ups and responsive acceleration in everyday driving situations. Its electric 4WD system, called ALLGRIP-e, uses dual eAxles to provide strong performance and stability, especially useful on rugged terrains. It also includes a special “Trail” mode to help navigate through tough conditions by adjusting power distribution.

Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e platform

The e VITARA rides on the newly developed HEARTECT-e platform, created exclusively for BEVs. This platform offers a lightweight structure and maximizes battery storage by reducing underfloor components, creating a spacious interior without compromising on safety.

Suzuki's commitment to carbon neutrality

In an official statement, Suzuki’s President emphasized the company’s commitment to providing a variety of eco-friendly vehicle options. As part of their carbon neutrality strategy, Suzuki plans to expand its range of BEVs and other sustainable vehicles tailored to diverse global markets.
