Renault introduces the all-electric 4 E-Tech with two powertrain options, a tech-focused interior, and design elements inspired by the classic Renault 4.
Renault's 4 E-Tech, a fully electric replica of the iconic Renault 4, was shown at the 2024 Paris Motor Show. With its nostalgic look and modern features, this all-electric vehicle strikes a mix between futuristic technology and vintage appeal. The 4 E-Tech is ideally suited for longer journeys and city driving thanks to its two powertrain options and 400-kilometer range.
By keeping important aspects of the original Renault 4 while adding modern upgrades, the exterior of the Renault 4 E-Tech combines the old and the new. The new front grille now features a prominent lighted emblem, and circular LED lights give it a contemporary look while still drawing inspiration from the original design.
In addition to its 18-inch wheels, the car's design features, which honor the vintage model, include creases along the lower portion of the doors and a quarter window next to the rear doors. Its slim vertical taillights and optional retractable fabric roof give it an appealing appearance that is both practical and fashionable.
Technology is the focal point of the Renault 4 E-Tech's interior. With a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.1-inch digital driver display, it has a dual-screen configuration. With its integrated Google apps, the system offers convenient on-the-go connectivity, entertainment, and navigation.
The car is also packed with safety features, offering more than 26 driver assistance systems. Voice control via a built-in AI assistant simplifies interactions, while bidirectional charging allows the car to power external devices or feed energy back into the grid.
To accommodate varying driving requirements, the Renault 4 E-Tech comes with two different powertrain options. The more expensive variant is appropriate for a range of driving circumstances because it has a 52kWh battery and a 110kW motor that provide 148 horsepower and 400 kilometers of range. For city dwellers, the more compact option features a 40kWh battery with a 90kW motor, producing 120bhp and offering a range of 300 kilometers, ideal for everyday commuting and shorter trips.
