Lexus Unveils All-New LX 700h and Revamped ES at 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show

Lexus has made a splash at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show with the debut of its latest luxury SUV, the all-new LX 700h, and the refreshed ES sedan. Both models reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation, comfort, and an enhanced driving experience tailored for the Chinese market.

All-New Lexus LX 700h

The Lexus LX 700h is the latest iteration of the brand’s flagship SUV, blending superior off-road capabilities with luxury features. The new LX 700h is equipped with a powerful hybrid drivetrain, integrating a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo engine, an electric motor, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. This setup delivers a combined output of 336 kW and peak torque of 790 Nm, providing smooth low-speed performance and strong acceleration when needed.



Designed for all terrains, the LX 700h features a full-time four-wheel drive system, an advanced Multi-Terrain Select (MTS) control system, and an enhanced all-terrain monitoring system (MTM). Drivers can navigate tough conditions with ease, while the vehicle's CRAWL control system helps maintain stability even on challenging surfaces.



Inside the cabin, the LX 700h offers a user-friendly multimedia setup, combining a 12.3-inch touchscreen with a 7-inch vehicle information display for seamless access to controls. The interior emphasizes comfort, featuring massage-equipped front seats and a VIP 4-seater configuration that enhances both business and leisure travel. For those seeking even greater off-road capabilities, the LX 700h is available in the special "OVERTRAIL" edition, featuring unique color options, upgraded differential locks, and specialized tires.

New Lexus ES

The Lexus ES, a top-selling executive sedan known for its refined design and comfortable ride, has received a significant update for 2024. The new model features a streamlined exterior with a redesigned spindle front grille and dual L-shaped LED headlights, enhancing the vehicle's distinctive look. Lexus has also introduced a new brand logo at the rear, replacing the previous emblem for a more modern aesthetic.



The interior of the new ES has been refreshed to offer an elevated sense of luxury. The 14-inch high-resolution touchscreen provides clear and intuitive access to the vehicle’s features. The minimalist design integrates key controls seamlessly, while the premium leather seats and new interior color options, such as "Snowy Night White," add to the upscale ambiance. The upgraded infotainment system now supports enhanced voice commands, allowing for smoother interaction and improved navigation capabilities.

Li Hui, Executive Vice President of Lexus China, emphasized the company’s focus on understanding the preferences of Chinese customers and delivering products that align with these expectations. Lexus continues to leverage its expertise in hybrid technology, aiming to provide a diversified range of luxury vehicles that cater to different lifestyles and preferences.

The introduction of the LX 700h and the updated ES marks a significant step in Lexus’ journey towards electrification, reflecting its dedication to blending advanced technology with the highest standards of quality and comfort. Both models are now available for order in China, with the LX 700h starting at 1.25 million yuan and the new ES priced from 299,900 yuan.
