Sporty design, upgraded technology, and mild hybrid efficiency define the latest Q5 Sportback.
Audi has unveiled the second-generation Q5 Sportback, introducing a more dynamic and refined design that merges the practicality of an SUV with the sleek profile of a coupe. The redesigned sloping roofline and sharper exterior lines give it a more athletic appearance compared to its predecessor.
The front features Audi’s signature Singleframe grille, flanked by striking headlights and functional air curtains. The redesigned rear includes a sculpted light strip and a sporty edge on the trunk lid, enhancing the car’s overall aesthetics. Optional roof rails add to its versatility, and the OLED rear lights improve safety while enhancing its premium look.
Inside, the 2025 Audi Q5 Sportback emphasizes user-centric design and sustainability. Recycled materials like Dinamica microfiber are used in the cabin, reflecting Audi’s commitment to eco-friendly solutions. A panoramic MMI touchscreen display and high-contrast interior elements create a tech-forward and cozy ambiance.
The cabin offers generous space, with up to 515 liters of luggage capacity, expandable to 1,415 liters with the rear seats folded. The SQ5 Sportback, the performance variant, offers slightly reduced cargo space due to its sport-tuned design.
Under the hood, the Q5 Sportback features Audi’s MHEV plus system, offering improved fuel efficiency and reduced emissions. The 48-volt mild hybrid setup assists the engine with additional torque during acceleration and recuperates energy during braking.
At launch, the Q5 Sportback will be available with:
- 2.0 TFSI engine (150 kW, 204 PS) with optional quattro all-wheel drive.
- 2.0 TDI engine (150 kW, 204 PS) with quattro drive as standard.
- The performance-focused SQ5 Sportback with a 3.0-liter V6 TFSI engine delivering 270 kW (367 PS) and 550 Nm of torque.
All versions come with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for smooth performance.
The 2025 Audi Q5 Sportback and SQ5 Sportback will be available for order starting December 2024. The base model will have a starting price of €54,800, while the high-performance S model begins at €85,400.
This latest iteration of the Q5 Sportback combines modern design, innovative technology, and improved efficiency, making it a strong contender in the luxury SUV-coupe segment.
